Frequently Asked Questions
Why is the way I order my continence different to other prescribed products?
Suffolk and North East Essex ICB (SNEE ICB) has commissioned a new service for all patients using a continence product, excluding pads. This will change the way you order your products and prescriptions will be reviewed and issued by a prescribing nurse in place of your GP.
Prescriptions for continence products, excluding pads, will now be issued by the Appliance Prescription Management Services (APMS).
APMS service is commissioned by NHS Suffolk and North East Essex ICB provided by Coloplast and went live 1 April 2025.
Information on the service & patient choice can be found here >
How do I order my products?
For your first order through this service, please call the service on 0800 026 0879 to place your order, even if you have been ordering your products for a while. This will replace your regular call or online order to your chosen home delivery company or pharmacy.
Second and subsequent orders, can be placed online.
Order your repeat prescriptions online: Order Online
When you have placed your appliance order, either by phone or online, the prescription will be reviewed and issued by a Prescribing Nurse.
This will then be sent to Coloplast Charter, or your chosen home delivery company, who will dispense and deliver your order in the usual way, and you should not experience any change to this part of the service.
Will the products I use be changed?
Your products will only be changed if there is a clinical reason, and you have consulted with the Specialist Nurse. The Nurse will contact you if there are any questions about your prescription.
